QUOTE OF THE DAY

"The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."

~ Robert Louis Stevenson

WHERE DOES IT HURT?

Did you know that August is "National Pain Awareness Month"? It's true that we are asked to be "aware" of many things in any given month, but I think pain is always something to be mindful of every day of the year.

We all have pains from time to time, and some of you may currently be experiencing a nagging, lingering pain. If and when this happens, I hope you give it the attention it deserves. Pain is your body's way of saying to you, "I don't like what just happened to me," or "I've got a problem." Don't ignore this built-in ALERT system.

Are you in PAIN? Don't live with it any longer...Call your doctor to get back to good health! For more information on pain, visit The National Pain Foundation.

We hope you enjoy our email-generated newsletter. Please feel free to forward this e-newsletter to anyone you may think will benefit from its contents. We would like your feedback and your suggestions so that this newsletter becomes a helpful resource for you and your employees. Email me at On-Site Health Solutions.

GOOD QUESTION:
GOOD ANSWER!

This section answers your often-asked, health-related questions. If you have a question that you would like us to answer, please send us an email and we will try to highlight it in our next newsletter.

Question:

Sometimes I feel like my doctor isn’t listening to me, and I wonder if it’s time to find a new doctor. What should I do?

Answer:

Physicians are faced with a lot of difficult challenges today. Often times they are given very little time in the day to see each patient and diseases seem to be becoming more and more complex. Treatment options are improving, however it is difficult for physicians to stay on top of the options available because they seem to change daily, especially new and improved drug treatment therapies.
